MATT & SARAH & JIMMY & BEN
What's the reason for this so called bashing in-your-face pair of F@cking videos you ask?
It all began with the infamous "feud" between Kimmel and Damon which erupted in a special primetime broadcast of "Jimmy Kimmel Live's All-Star Salute to Jimmy Kimmel Live," MARCH 1, 2006. Damon was waiting in the green room to be Kimmel's special guest during his first-ever primetime special, when Damon finally came out on stage following a lengthy introduction of his credits, Kimmel once again ran out of time for him. Damon expressed his displeasure on national television, planting the seed for what was to be the most talked about Hollywood feud... for hours.
So you may be asking yourself what are these stupid F@cking videos all about and why have so many F@cking people looked at them?
Well, Sarah Silverman, sent Kimmel a video "Dear John" letter in which Silverman strums her acoustic guitar and apologetically tells Kimmel, "I'm f*cking Matt Damon." It's been viewed more than 6 million times on YouTube alone.
Damon, who is married, joins Silverman in the video and the two describe all the different places they are having sex (I hope for them), although at one point Silverman looks somewhat dubious about Damon's more reckless claims. That's okay Sarah, men always lie. In another verse, Damon gestures to Silverman's chest and defiantly asks, "Hey, Kimmel, how do you like them apples?" -- an homage to his oft-quoted line in "Good Will Hunting."
Silverman then confesses, "Last week when I was playing Scrabble with you online, I was f*cking Matt Damon."
Funny, sure. But it's the video rebuttal, featuring Jimmy Kimmel revealing his new found love for Ben Affleck (aired numerous times on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show) that has tongues wagging. The Jimmy is F@cking Ben Affleck response to Matt & Sarah's video has been viewed over 1 million times and is a breakout smash!
Affleck joins Kimmel and they begin grooming each other in various ways. Their "lust" for each other is underscored when Affleck grabs Kimmel's "breasts" and pronounces them larger than Silverman's.
The video is peppered with cameos by A-listers such as Brad Pitt, who plays a low-key delivery guy delivering Kimmel a cake to celebrate his "relationship" with Affleck.
The video takes an even more surreal turn when '80s rock legend Joan Jett leads a celebrity-packed "We Are the World"-style tribute to the couple.
And just like "We Are the World," most of the celebs in the Kimmel-Affleck video were able to shoot it together at Hollywood's A&M Studios, including Affleck and Kimmel, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Romijn, Christina Applegate, Macy Gray, Pete Wentz, Dominic Monaghan, Harrison Ford, Cameron Diaz and Huey Lewis and a famous not to be named comedian amongst others. And just like the we are the word crew none can sing too well. (Brad Pitt's part was shot poolside at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.)
"They just called me up and asked if I wanted to get involved," punk legend, Joan Jett said. "I jumped at the chance to do it." About four days later, she and the others were on set.
Jett admitted being the first to sing "was intimidating," but she wouldn't let that stop her from, um, pushing forward with her gyrating dance moves. "They didn't ask me to do it," Jett said. "Everybody just did what they wanted to do to express the lyrics as they wanted to."
Ohh and to top it off like a good F@cking music video song, it's no surprise, that a certain major (hidden talent) vocalist shot his solo at a piano with stars shining behind him... yes Josh Groban even sang the F@cking song.
This is more fun than Kimmel has been in years. Funnier than the prospect of his do anything to stay on TV pal Corolla appearing on Dancing with the Stars. But...Viral video from the top down?
