Nicholas Ball bought his friend six romance books. I know two things about him. He was born in the same town as I was and he was in a TV detective show that was co-written by Terry Venables (see Counterculture #23). The show was called Hazell. I am unaware of any of his work since Hazell but if pushed I'd say he still looked successful. Perhaps Hazell is forever playing on worldwide TV Gold type cable channels.
