Ancient Champion - Under Pressure

What is it then this pressure thing of wich you speak?
The overwhelming feeling of being time poor
without even the time to go back and correct the typos
in a poem hastily written for NAtional Poetry Dayt

Thanks the gods then for googel docs’ auto crrect

And are you really anyway?
Are you, “time poor?”
Maybe you’ve just mastered mismanaging what time you do have.

I can’t see the pianos that are raining down on you from your sky
They are heavy, but moving slowly you say

Maybe you shouldn’t start something without knowing how it will finish
You never used to do that.
You were the one that always knew.

Something you should know:
Ancient Champion is a musician and a columnist for outsideleft so well known in these parts. AC makes Lift Music for Old Punks, it is alleged. You can hear for yourself, 'Whipped Up and Stripped Down' will be available on October 8th. Ancient Champion's collection of short stories, 'Six Stories About Motoring Nowhere' will be available everywhere, October 15th.

All About and Contributors

Outsideleft exists on a precarious no budget budget. We are interested in hearing from deep and deeper pocket types willing to underwrite our cultural vulture activity. We're not so interested in plastering your product all over our stories, but something more subtle and dignified for all parties concerned. Contact us and let's talk. [HELP OUTSIDELEFT]

If Outsideleft had arms they would always be wide open and welcoming to new writers and new ideas. If you've got something to say, something a small dank corner of the world needs to know about, a poem to publish, a book review, a short story, if you love music or the arts or anything else, write something about it and send it along. Of course we don't have anything as conformist as a budget here. But we'd love to see what you can do. Write for Outsideleft, do. [SUBMISSIONS FORM HERE]
