Solid'Art, Paris
Carreau du Temple
May 5th-8th 2022

We were excited to learn that one of our favourite artists, Guilaine Arts, is one of the many artists participating  in the forthcoming Solid'art exhibition, Secours Populaire's contemporary art fair, at the Carreau du Temple in Paris, presented in collaboration with the "Fédération Artistique Afrique France".

Guilaine is known for her large format, mesmerising, metaphysical and sometimes hyperrealistic portraits. Guilaine is a poet of paint, her vivid brushes evoke many emotions.

Solid'Arts For each edition of Solid'Art, a well-known artist sponsors the event (JonOne, Hervé Di Rosa, Jef Aérosol, etc.). JACE is the sponsor of the event in Paris. Past exhibitions have taken place in Lille, Montpellier and Marseille, Solid'Art will be held for the first time in Paris from 5th to 8th May. Solid'Art Paris will take place, with the support of the City of Paris, on 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th May. The funds collected during the exhibition will be converted into "free holiday days" in order to send as many children as possible on holiday this summer. One work purchased means one child goes on holiday!

As the patron of the event, Jace has signed the poster of the fair. He will also perform and produce a silkscreen print especially for the organisation "The Secours Populaire". For decades, The Secours Populaire has been helping the most disadvantaged, in France and abroad.

For each edition of Solid'Art, a well-known artist sponsors the event (JonOne, Hervé Di Rosa, Jef Aérosol, etc.).  JACE is the sponsor of this 1st edition in Paris.

"For several decades, Secours populaire has been helping the most disadvantaged. The various actions carried out in France and abroad allow us to practice solidarity and support Human Rights. Secours populaire français conveys values that are common to all Gouzous, such as benevolence and humanism! This is why I am proud and honoured to be the sponsor of Solid'Art Paris 2022.

The objective is to collect a maximum of donations to finance the traditional "Journée des Oubliés des vacances" for children and their families in need. Great artists will join me to sell beautiful works of art and raise as much money as possible to help many children to smile again.

Let's get out of this health crisis and give everyone a chance to smile and enjoy life to the fullest, because a piece of art purchased is a child going on holiday!"

At Solid'Art all techniques are represented: painting, photography, street art, sculpture, engraving, drawing, silk-screening.

110 artists are participating in the 1800m2 Carreau du Temple.

HELP OUTSIDELEFT

Outsideleft exists on a precarious no budget budget. We are interested in hearing from deep and deeper pocket types willing to underwrite our cultural vulture activity. We're not so interested in plastering your product all over our stories, but something more subtle and dignified for all parties concerned. Contact us and let's talk. [HELP OUTSIDELEFT]

WRITE FOR OUTSIDELEFT

If Outsideleft had arms they would always be wide open and welcoming to new writers and new ideas. If you've got something to say, something a small dank corner of the world needs to know about, a poem to publish, a book review, a short story, if you love music or the arts or anything else, write something about it and send it along. Of course we don't have anything as conformist as a budget here. But we'd love to see what you can do. Write for Outsideleft, do. [SUBMISSIONS FORM HERE]
