You too can be OutsideLeft's Outsider of the Week and receive free stuff.

Each week we offer a profile of an outsideleft reader. This is purely voluntary and as they used to say about dating Chris Evert, the line is long, but it moves pretty fast... So, c'mon, whore yourself a little for our entertainment...

Name: Jen Burrows
Age: 31
Hometown: Seattle, Washington, USA
Something About It: Not as rainy as people think, but still lots of suicides.
Transport: 1996 Honda Civic on its last legs
What do you do for money: I'm a freelance web designer and somehow make enough money to pay the rent.
Preferred Musicians/Music: Interpol, Esquivel, Bloc Party, Jeff Buckley, Miles Davis (his earlier years), The Style Council
Likes: Tabloid Magazines, Nude Celebrity Paparazzi Photos, Vodka, Running Shoes, Italian Food, Cola-Flavored Icees, Howard Stern, Found Art, American Urban Decay
Dislikes: California Transplants, Traffic, Tourists, Mexican restaurants that make you pay for the chips and salsa, People who don't like Howard Stern, Beer
Most embarrassing moment: My high school English teacher intercepted a note I passed to a friend in class and proceeded to read it out loud to the room. The note included specific sexually-related details of the night before with the guy I was dating at the time.

HELP OUTSIDELEFT

Outsideleft exists on a precarious no budget budget. We are interested in hearing from deep and deeper pocket types willing to underwrite our cultural vulture activity. We're not so interested in plastering your product all over our stories, but something more subtle and dignified for all parties concerned. Contact us and let's talk. [HELP OUTSIDELEFT]

WRITE FOR OUTSIDELEFT

If Outsideleft had arms they would always be wide open and welcoming to new writers and new ideas. If you've got something to say, something a small dank corner of the world needs to know about, a poem to publish, a book review, a short story, if you love music or the arts or anything else, write something about it and send it along. Of course we don't have anything as conformist as a budget here. But we'd love to see what you can do. Write for Outsideleft, do. [SUBMISSIONS FORM HERE]
