Strangers On The Canal
"Push (editor of Buzz magazine) commissioned me to do this. The brief was go and hang around near this pub on the canal near Victoria Park and these people will turn up. Sure enough they did. I had about five minutes with them. I’ve got a thing about locations that are slightly decaying. This provided light and shade and a little bit of mystery, which is what they were like, really. It was very quick and spontaneous and then they had to go off and be arty and mysterious somewhere."
