Wayne Dean-Richards' new poetry collection, Days of Ordinary Madness, will be serialised in Outsideleft for at least some of the summer.

Cover artDays of Ordinary Madness is the title of Wayne Dean-Richards' new poetry collection to be serialised in Outsideleft this summer.

Throughout 2023, Outsideleft worked with Wayne to give away a collection of his poetry, It’s a Mad World, But Funny, which consisted of 18 consistently acerbic pieces. The poems were at first published intermittently on our website, and when the series was complete, Wayne made a free pdf available for download. Additionally, for the more discerning, serious of people with a small amount of cash available, a slender small format volume was made available for purchase. For the completists, a holy trinity of reading choices to enjoy.

DAYS OF ORDINARY MADNESS
In 2025 Wayne and Outsideleft are coming with a new collection, Days of Ordinary Madness. Featuring 41 of Wayne’s sharpest notes on our perplexing world. It all begins in Outsideleft this week.

Once more we will publish the poems prior to their collation into a free downloadable PDF, and also a collectable pocket sized book. We have to figure out how to shoehorn so many ideas into a small format… Those technical details are just details for now.

At the end of May, too, our new venture, Outsideleft Books, will publish Wayne’s collection of short fiction pieces, Moments. More information about this exciting collection will appear here soon...

HELP OUTSIDELEFT

Outsideleft exists on a precarious no budget budget. We are interested in hearing from deep and deeper pocket types willing to underwrite our cultural vulture activity. We're not so interested in plastering your product all over our stories, but something more subtle and dignified for all parties concerned. Contact us and let's talk. [HELP OUTSIDELEFT]

WRITE FOR OUTSIDELEFT

If Outsideleft had arms they would always be wide open and welcoming to new writers and new ideas. If you've got something to say, something a small dank corner of the world needs to know about, a poem to publish, a book review, a short story, if you love music or the arts or anything else, write something about it and send it along. Of course we don't have anything as conformist as a budget here. But we'd love to see what you can do. Write for Outsideleft, do. [SUBMISSIONS FORM HERE]
