To coincide with the release of the latest, critically acclaimed, studio LP, The Awful Truth (Fire Records), we couldn’t be more thrilled than to introduce 'It’s the Nightingales Week' in Outsideleft! In about the Year Dot, our contributor Lake invented the Happy Shopper quiz. Such is its power we've used it sparingly ever since, dusting it down only on very special occasions...
Happy Shopper #42: Andreas Schmid
1) What was the last electrical appliance you bought?
Battery charger
2) How many shoes do you own?
5 pairs
3) Thinking about only what you are wearing now and including your watch, jewellery and glasses if you wear them, how much would it cost me to get dressed up just like you? And where would I have to go to get the look?
Hard to tell but the Apple Watch will be the dearest item. You can get that Andi Schmid look anywhere really, it's pretty basic.
4) What are you going to be eating for dinner tonight?
I’m doing sound at a gig tonight with local catering so I don’t know yet. Otherwise it’s normally asparagus at this time of the year.
5) What is the most amount you have ever spent on a bottle of wine or other alcoholic beverage and when and where was it?
Probably buying a pint on my latest trip to London
6) What and where is your favourite shop?
There’s a little Indian shop not far from my house. I get all my stuff to make a decent curry there and also tea. I know it doesn’t sound like much but it’s pretty special to a German living in Ulm.
7) How do you get around town?
Pushbike. The most superior vehicle known to man
8) Where is your favourite place to holiday?
We went to Israel for our honeymoon a few years ago and I absolutely loved it but I guess I won’t be going for a while.
